INSA FOR EVISU Taking INSA’s trademark ‘Graffiti Fetish’ pattern – usually seen on walls around the world – the artist here transformed his signature design, taking inspiration from a new material: denim. This pattern is about ownership and fetishism for the surface or object that is engulfed in the design. In his work for EVISU the fetish is the luxury of utility: a workwear fabric crafted with tradition and desirability. The contrast between the free-flowing curved lines, against the hard lines created by material of the jeans, puts this juxtaposition of surfaces into a textural perspective. #EVISU #insa #graffiti #art
